Harry Priddle, President

Harry Priddle, Certified Hotel Administrator and Certified Hospitality Technology Professional, was born and raised in London, UK.  Harry studied hospitality management and Russian Calligraphy at the University of Huddersfield.  

Upon graduation he worked for Southern Sun Hotels in the Republic of South Africa for 3 years where he served as the Convention Services Manager at the Elangeni Hotel, Durban.  The Elangeni Hotel is the largest convention hotel in RSA. 

In 1986 Harry moved to Central Florida as an Asset Manager for a hotel investor group where he successfully managed and operated the group's hotel chain of brands such as Best Western, Travelodge, Quality Inn and Comfort Inn & Suites. 

The move to Atlanta, Georgia in 1995 was to work with the Diplomat Hotels Corporation which also enabled him to work at the 1996 Olympic Games.  Harry was quickly promoted to Vice President overseeing operations and IT.  

Professional memberships include the  Atlanta Hotel Council, Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals, National Academy Foundation-Metro Atlanta

 

John Povlitz III, Vice President Operations

John Povlitz III has over 20 years of property management experience. John, a licensed real estate agent, is a skilled negotiator with a sharp eye for detail. His "easy to do business with" attitude allows for a comfortable working relationship with property owners and at the same time, he will be certain that your property is well managed to allow you the best possible return on your investment.

Mr. Povlitz is responsible for overseeing the operational leadership for HGI
  hotel portfolio. John has an extensive background in all areas of hotel operations, conversions, renovations and a track record of delivering returns on investments. Mr. Povlitz has led and managed operations for large and complex portfolios of nationally branded hotels and held numerous key leadership positions in various aspects of hotel operations throughout his career.

Mr. Povlitz attended Brevard Community College in Cocoa Beach Florida and the University of Tampa in Tampa Florida where he studied business and accounting.  John is also a member of the National Association of Realtors.  He has attended numerous courses in operations, human resources, risk management, budgeting and revenue management.

 

Trish Cahill, Vice President Sales & Training

Trish has been in the hospitality and travel industry for over 25 years. Her experience includes hotels, airlines and cruise lines.

She began her career with RockResort Hotels in Woodstock, Vermont and has also worked with Holiday Inn, Marriott, Sheraton, Remington and Omni Hotels.

Starting in the area of food and beverage, she quickly learned all the positions in the restaurants, bars and catering outlets before moving on to hotel operations including management positions in front office, reservations, revenue management and night audit.

She has worked at both corporate hotels and resort properties. Trish has been selected for task force operations on more than one occasion and was chosen as the first franchise person to be part of a corporate Marriott task force while working with Interstate Hotels. 

After successfully handling management positions in the operations areas Trish decided to round out her hospitality background and moved into sales where she also excelled. At Omni Hotels National Office in Atlanta she sold for over 40 hotels working closely with clients and hotels on an international level.

Trish left the hotel industry for a couple of years to work with Eastern and Continental Airlines and was Regional Sales Manager for a multi-million dollar territory in five southeastern states.  During this time she worked with travel agents, corporate accounts and other organizations handling group sales. She also assisted with special promotions, events and training. 

Throughout her career training has been very important to Trish and she has earned recognition and awards for her training skills in sales, operations and revenue management as well as development of much of her own materials. She is happy to custom design sales or operations training for your staff. 

Accolades from supervisors, co-workers and clients who have appreciated her hard work and dedication to excellence have been numerous and she has received awards such as “Hospitality Hero” in her local community.  Trish has been active in professional membership organizations such as GBTA, MPI, GSAE, and various others where she has also worked in some board positions.    

Trish attended Clayton State College and graduated with a Ph.D. from Albert University.
